Four releases define the GoHighLevel mobile app features 2026 users will actually notice: a redesigned home screen with Universal Search and Ask AI, a rebuilt Tasks module, rich text that matches the web editor, and voice notes inside WhatsApp conversations. Several of them are opt-in or need a fresh app build, so the app on your phone may still look the old way.

Everything below comes from HighLevel's own help articles and changelog. Those pages are uneven about dates, so where one gives a release month we say so, and where it doesn't we say that too.

GoHighLevel mobile app features that changed in 2026

The changes fall into four releases, and only two of them carry a firm date. The redesign is the biggest and the least clearly dated, because its help article still lists targets from late 2025 even though it was last modified on 1 September 2026.

The redesigned home screen and Universal Search

The v4.0.0 redesign replaces the old left-hand menu with a homepage, a search bar and an app grid. According to HighLevel's v4.0.0 help article, it also adds a true-black dark mode and faster app launch, though speed varies by device, OS version and network.

The homepage has four fixed widgets: Tasks Due, Opportunity Pipeline Value, Unread Messages and Today's Appointments. Below them sit a Pinned Apps widget (up to four modules you choose and reorder), eight fixed Quick Actions and a revenue chart covering the last six months.

Widgets for modules a user can't access are hidden, so a sales rep and an agency admin won't see the same home screen.

Universal Search looks across Conversations, Contacts and Opportunities, keeps your last five searches, and can find modules and quick actions too. It also digs up old messages by keyword, so a conversation about meeting notes from three months back is a search away rather than a scroll.

Three modules is a narrow net, though. Anyone hoping to search invoices or calendars from the same box will be disappointed for now.

The App Drawer is a four-column grid grouped into Insights & Productivity, Communication, Sales & Operations, and Marketing & Growth, mirroring the web app. Settings and Notifications moved to icons at the top right, with an unread indicator on notifications.

Ask AI on mobile

Ask AI is a chat assistant inside the app, and only Agency Admins can use it. It drafts social media content, creates or edits contacts, generates and edits images, and runs supported MCP actions, with a chat history that keeps past conversations and outputs.

It supports every MCP action except those tied to modules that aren't on mobile, such as Blogs and Funnels. HighLevel's setup guide adds that Ask AI follows your existing AI usage limits and subscription tier, with no separate mobile fee.

Think of it as a way to do small jobs from a phone, like fixing a contact record between meetings. Recurring work across your CRM is a different problem, and it's the one we handle in our AI and automation work. We've also written up how AI automation fits into GoHighLevel's CRM.

Tasks V2: recurring tasks and a board view

Tasks V2 turns the mobile task list into something closer to a small project board. The changelog entry for the release lists recurring tasks that repeat hourly, daily, weekly or monthly, ending on a date or after a set number of occurrences.

A task can now link to an opportunity rather than only a contact, and several contacts can attach to one task. You can switch between list and board views, and tasks sort themselves into Overdue, Today, This Week and Upcoming.

A progress ring tracks how much of today's list you've finished, and each card shows its linked contact and opportunity without opening the task.

The entry is dated 11/06/2026, which is ambiguous, but its screenshots are dated 2026-06-11, so June is the safe reading. Its version number is marked unconfirmed. It's available in the HighLevel, LeadConnector and white-label apps.

A homepage task widget that updates dynamically is listed as future work, not part of this release.

Rich text that matches the web editor

Version 4.14, released in May 2026, makes the mobile editor render formatting the way the web editor does. The changelog for rich text on mobile says notes, emails and tasks keep line spacing, block quotes, blank lines and mixed formatting when edited and saved in either direction.

It applies to contact notes, email conversations, tasks, appointment notes and invoice terms.

The limits are small but real. Complex tables and deeply nested lists may simplify slightly on mobile, and unusual web fonts can fall back to a default font while the content and structure stay intact.

Voice notes in WhatsApp conversations

You can now record a voice note from inside a WhatsApp conversation in the app. Per the help article on WhatsApp voice notes, you tap the voice note icon, can pause and resume the recording, delete it and start over, then send it.

The article gives no maximum length or file size, so don't promise clients a limit you haven't tested.

How to turn on the new mobile experience

The redesign is not switched on automatically for existing apps. An agency admin enables it, then picks which subaccounts get it. The steps, as the help center gives them:

  1. Update the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Go to Agency Settings, then Labs, then Subaccounts.
  3. Turn on the toggle named "A New Mobile App Experience".
  4. Select the subaccounts that should get the redesigned interface.

HighLevel recommends trying it on an internal subaccount before rolling it out to clients, and that advice is worth taking. The redesign changes how modules are organised, and module access now follows the customer's plan, matching the web app.

Users on lower-tier plans lose access to modules their plan doesn't include, where previously every user had every feature on mobile. If a client calls asking where something went, check their plan and role first. Our comparison of how GoHighLevel and HubSpot bill agencies is a useful companion when you're mapping plans to what each client should see.

What this means for white-label apps

White-label apps get the redesign, but not automatically. After enabling the Labs toggle, an agency has to request a new binary so the redesign appears in its branded app, and the WhatsApp voice notes update also has to be requested.

Existing customizations may break because of structural changes in the redesign. A new white-label mobile app customizer is listed as coming, so hold off on heavy re-branding work until it lands.

Some agencies outgrow a branded version of someone else's app, usually when clients want workflows that don't exist in HighLevel at all. That's a different build with different trade-offs, and we lay them out in our piece on mobile apps versus web apps for a SaaS startup. It's also the territory of our apps and SaaS development service.

Gaps to plan around

The redesign is unfinished, and the documentation says so. Homepage widgets are fixed and can't be customized yet, Universal Search covers only three modules, and some modules will move to the new design in later releases.

Dates are the other gap. The help articles for the redesign still describe Q4 2025 targets as upcoming, so treat any timeline as unconfirmed and check with HighLevel support before telling a client when a feature will arrive.

The practical move is to enable the Labs toggle on one internal subaccount this week, work through the home screen and search with your own data, and decide what to tell clients only after you've seen which modules appear for each role.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't a team member see a module in the new App Drawer?

Missing modules usually reflect the subscription tier or the user's role. Check both in the web dashboard before assuming something is broken.

Does the new app have a dark mode?

Yes, a true-black dark mode. It follows the device theme by default and can be toggled in the app's Settings.

Can I customize the homepage widgets?

Not yet. The four main widgets are fixed, though you can pin up to four modules in the Pinned Apps widget and reorder them.

Do the Tasks V2 changes reach white-label apps?

Yes. The changelog marks the HighLevel, LeadConnector and white-label apps as all having it available.
