Per-machine pricing charges for each asset you instrument, so it starts cheap for a pilot line and scales linearly as you add equipment. Per-site pricing flips that logic: one flat number covers the whole plant, which suits a facility that wants a predictable figure rather than a growing meter.
Per-user pricing bills by login. That works fine for office-heavy reporting roles and badly for shop floors where dozens of operators need occasional access.
Custom quotes show up once a buyer runs multiple plants, and they're harder to compare across vendors for exactly that reason. For manufacturers building that layer themselves rather than licensing it, the pricing question moves into how the apps and SaaS work gets scoped in the first place.

Where the real cost hides

The base rate is rarely the whole bill. Implementation typically runs $5,000 to $50,000, and data migration adds another $2,000 to $20,000 on top, per the same job shop breakdown above.
